Local 247 is coming to San Diego!

From Thursday, July 30th to Saturday, August 1st, leadership representatives will be on the ground in San Diego. Our main goal for this trip is to connect directly with you—our members—to hear your feedback, talk about current workplace updates, and ensure your voices are being heard.

Over these two days, we will be traveling throughout the area visiting various local sites to introduce ourselves, say hello, and meet members right where you work. Keep an eye out for us at your facility!

We are wrapping up our trip with an open-door Town Hall Meeting. This is your opportunity to sit down with us, ask questions, share any workplace concerns you might have, and discuss how Local 247 can best support you moving forward.

Local 247 has officially arrived in Orlando, Florida, to make our voices heard at the 18th Constitutional SPFPA Convention. We're collaborating with fellow locals to shape the future of our union and enhance union membership to bring the best possible representation back home to you.

We are also incredibly proud to announce two significant leadership victories from the convention floor:

Ryan Kelly has been reelected as our Regional Vice President!

David Hickey has been reelected to continue his outstanding leadership as our International President.

With a strong, proven leadership team at the helm, Local 247 remains fully committed to sharpening our skills, fighting for better contracts, and upholding Weingarten rights while working every single day to serve you better.
